..."Lory is  a life lover, blogger, storyteller, scrapbooker, crafter and traveler. She lives in what is called the "bel Paese" in the south of Italy and she's cheerful and happy.

She loves to write about her life, scrapbooking, DIY, photography and travels.

Her motto: "Live the life you love. Love the life you live. Be happy"

Há um ano tive a oportunidade de conhecer à Lory, em Barcelona. Cidade que tem trazido à minha vida pessoas unicas e muito especiais. E pensei "No mundo de hoje, em que temos tanta facilidade para partilhar e aprender dos outros, porque não pedir a Lory que partilhe as suas ideias com a comunidade Ameisin"... foi assim que falamos e fizemos a pequena entrevista que trazemos hoje ao nosso blog.

AMEISIN: Hi Lory! We are so excited to get to know you better with this interview but specially, to share with our clients and fans your positivism and the way you see life! Thanks for chatting with Ameisin Atelier and big welcome to our community! 

AM: Is Lory a dreamer? Which dream is occupying your mind now?

LB: I can say that I am a big huge dreamer! Everyone tells me that I love to dream every single minute! My dream right now is doing my dream job so quit my real and so boring job and do what I really love to do in my life, create, teaching scrapbooking around Europe and who can know… maybe around the world one day? I dream to wake up in the morning with a big smile on my face because I’m doing what I really love to do!

AM: Foy you, life is about love, friendship, smiling and? (complete with as many as aspects you believe life is about to) 

LB: Life is love, friendship, smiling, being kind with the others, traveling, family, enjoying every single minute, not wasting time with regrets or worries, life is living every single second enjoying it because we have just one life and we have to enjoy it!

AM: Why Scrapbooking is part of your life? 

LB: Scrapbooking is one of the wonderful parts of my life! I love it because I feel in my happy and safe place when I am in my scrap room creating! I feel happy, relaxed, calm because I’m doing what I really love to do!

AM: Here, in Portugal, scrapbooking is still a little bit unknown, how would you explain with simple words what scrapbooking is about? 

LB: Many times people doesn’t understand what I do, my friends take a little bit to really understand, scrapbooking is not a different kind of decoupage as many think, scrapbooking is the way you can stop the time of your life and tell the stories of your life with pictures. The Pictures are the only thing allow us to keep memories, to preserve our life and to remember it and to be grateful about it! All is in a wonderful and colorful world of embellishments, papers, albums. Scrapbooking will become not just a hobby because it is a very special kind of hobby, scrapbooking is you and what you have inside, in your heart! Many times it is so therapeutic!

AM: We simply adore the way you idealize layouts! Let’s talk a little bit about them… 

How do you define a layout? 

LB: A layout is a story you tell with pictures and wonderful colorful materials!

AM: Could you give us “the recipe” (key ingredients) for “preparing” a LO? 

LB: Here my recipe to create aLO ;) - choose your picture and the story behind it you would like to tell. Focus your attention on these two elements first and then choose the materials that can help you to have fun and to tell the story at the same time. Be sure the colors will be great for the picture and then don’t think just have fun!

AM: You may have loooots of layouts, how do you organize them? 

LB: I simply organize my layouts in my 12x12 albums for each year basically because they are random and don’t follow a single story.

AM: Before saying good bye, could you share with us a picture of your scrapbooking room?

LB: Of course hahahah this is my happy place!

Lory é uma apaixonada pela vida, blogera, contadora de historias, “scrappera”, adora os trabalhos manuais e viajar. Ela vive no sul de Itália, num lugar conhecido como “bel Paese” e é muito feliz. O seu lema é: Viva a vida que ama. Ame a vida que vive. Seja feliz.

AM: Olá Lory! Estamos muito contentes por poder conversar contigo e ainda mais contentes porque os nossos clientes e fans fiquem a saber quem és tu e a conhecer a maneira como vês a vida. Obrigada por falar com Ameisin Atelier, sê muito bem-vinda à nossa comunidade!

AM: Dirias que és uma sonhadora? Qual sonho ocupa a tua mente neste momento?

LB: Posso dizer que sou uma grande sonhadora! Todas as pessoas dizem que gosto de sonhar a cada minuto! O meu grande sonho neste momento é poder deixar o meu trabalho atual para poder dedicar-me ao que realmente gosto na minha vida, cria e ensinar scrapbooking na Europa e talvez, no mundo? Sonho com acordar cada manhã com um grande sorriso porque estou a fazer o que realmente me apaixona!

AM: Para ti, a vida trata-se de amor, amizade, sorrir e… (completa com todos os aspetos que achas importantes na tua vida).

LB: A vida é amar, amizade, sorrir, ser generoso com os outros, viajar, família, desfrutar cada minuto, não perder tempo com arrependimentos ou preocupações, a vida é viver cada segundo desfrutando porque só temos uma vida e é para isso, para desfrutá-la.

AM: Porque o Scrapbooking faz parte da tua vida?

LB: O Scrapbooking é uma das partes mais maravilhosas da minha vida! Eu adoro fazer isto porque me sinto feliz e segura sempre que estou no meu atelier criando! Sou feliz,siento-me relaxada, calma porque faço aquilo que gosto!

AM: Aqui em Portugal o scrapbooking ainda é bem desconhecido. Como explicarias com palavras simples o que é Scrapbooking?

LB: Muitas vezes as pessoas não compreendem o que eu faço. Custa um pouco que os meus amigos entendam o que o scrapbooking é. Não é um tipo mais de decoupage como muitos pensam, scrapbooking para mim é a maneira que tenho de parar o tempo na minha vida e contar as historias a traves das fotografias. As fotografias são a única maneira que encontro para conservar as memórias e poder relembrá-las sentindo-me grata por isso! Trata-se de um mundo colorido e maravilhoso, cheio de enfeites, papéis, álbuns. Scrapbooking não é um simples hobby, porque realmente é um hobby muito especial. O Scrapbooking és tu e o que tu tens dentro, no teu coração! E muitas vezes até é terapêutico.

AM: Simplesmente adoramos a maneira como idealizas os layouts. Vamos falar um pouco sobre isto… Como definirias um LO?

LB: Um LO é contar uma história com fotografias e, com materiais maravilhosos e coloridos!

AM: Podes partIlhar connosco qual a tua receita para fazer um LO?

LB: Aqui vá a minha receita para criar um LO. Escolhe uma foto e a história por trás que queres contar. Primeiro, foca a tua atenção nestes dois elementos e depois escolhe os matérias que aches podem ajudar-te a divertir-te contando a tua história. Assegura-te que as cores sejam adequadas para a tua fotografia e simplesmente não penses, deixa fluir e desfruta! 

AM: Deves ter imensos LO, como os organizas?

LB: Simplesmente organizo-os em álbuns de 30x30cm por anos porque não seguem uma temática em particular.

E para terminar, seria possível conhecer o teus “espaço criativo” de scrapbooking?

LB: Claro! Este é o meu lugar feliz!
